Idea

An idea is a mental representation that arises from the reasoning or imagination of a person. It is considered as the most basic act of understanding, when contemplating the mere action of knowing something.

The concept, however, has several uses. An idea can be a plan or the will to do something : "My idea is to resign and go on a trip" , "Juan's idea was different, but the accident changed the deadlines" , "Ernesto continues with the idea of selling the house " ; can refer to the knowledge someone has on a given topic: "Do you have any idea how difficult it is to manage this company?" , "I do not know too much about the subject, I only have an idea" ; or it may even be related to a sudden occurrence that, when carried out, causes certain consequences:"The best idea I could think of in my life was to go on vacation to this city . "

There are also certain phrases that allow you to give the concept different meanings, here we postulate some of them:

* A fixed idea is an obsessionor a recurring thought that a person seems unable to escape: "Being a professional footballer was a fixed idea during my adolescence" , "Dr. Filumerry maintains his fixed idea to close the laboratory from March " .

* A person has a remote idea about something when their knowledge about it lacks precision , possibly because he has never encountered that issue, because he has not investigated enough or because it is a plan that is not yet known if it will be carried out: "It is likely to develop an investment project in these lands, although it is still a remote idea . "

* The expression " get the idea " is linked to the resignation or acceptance of something that is not entirely pleasant: "I have to get used to the idea that it will not come back"; while " having no idea " means that a person does not have clear knowledge about a thing. "I had no idea that your parents were dead."

What is a delusional idea?
In psychology the concept of delusional idea is used to refer to a type of pathology that is characterized by being formed by ideas that are not modifiable by the subject and that can not be carried out; The dangerous thing about this disorder is that these ideas invade the entire personality of the individual, becoming the axis around which the life of the patient begins to revolve. The person changes categorically, before the delirious idea appeared behaved in a way and from his presence begins to be of another, changing his whole existence around the delirium, whether this foundation or not.

A delusional idea may be related to hypochondria (the subject believes that he is constantly ill and resorts to doctors), feelings of ruin (he is convinced that a life awaits him where misfortune is fundamental protagonist), feelings of guilt ( autoconvence of having done something terrible and with that justifies feeling bad, as if he deserved it), ideas of persecution (convinced that he will suffer some kind of attack, he lives fearful of everything that surrounds him, he is present in paranoid schizophrenia ) or with erotic or erotomaniac ideas(The individual believes that everyone is looking for him and wants to sleep with him, it is a chronic delirium).

There are other types of delusions, most of them related to a particular pathology . According to how they are formed, delusions can be:
* Delusional jealousy : The conviction that your sexual partner deceives you with another person; the individual acts accordingly to this idea and generally his behavior leads him to lose his partner;

* Delusions of greatness : A little exaggerated notion of oneself, about valued by the rest of the mortals. It can also happen that said overvaluation is focused on another individual, be it a relative or a famous person;

* Delusions of reference : Delusions related to the patient's environment, sometimes imply contempt for other individuals, in other cases praise; the subject looks at his surroundings based on these preconceived ideas and can not analyze life with rigor.
